Finding GIS data

This workshop will provide an overview of the GIS data available to McGill Students and faculty through the library’s collection, as well as various consortia agreements such as the Ontario Geospatial Data Exchange. Attendees will also learn about sources of free GIS data, such as the City of Montreal’s open data portal.

Prerequisite: none

Costs: free of charge

The workshop will take about 2 hours. The instructor is Mike Groenendyk, GIS librarian at McGill.
