If you would like to get into working with R for your data science projects, this is your workshop! Drawing on a basic understanding of R an experienced instructor will show you how to import, clean and prepare data for analysis. We will also go into detail how to treat missing values and creating pivot tables.

At the end of this workshop, you will be able to

  • understand the principles of data cleaning and preparation
  • to import datasets with the readr package
  • apply the main functions of the dplyr and tidyr packages
  • know different ways of treating missing values in R
  • know how to create simple pivot tables

Prerequisites: basic understanding of R and RStudio (please have R and RStudio in the latest version already installed on your computer as well as the tidyverse package).

To participate, please register below. Shortly before the event starts, you will receive a Zoom link for the workshop.

The workshop will take about 2 hours with a short break in between. The instructor is Tim Elrick.
