Do you want to create your own map with ESRI’s industry-standard Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tool? In this introductory workshop, you will learn how to go the first steps to make a map with ArcMap 10.7.
At the end of this workshop, you will be able to
- understand the principles of a GIS and the basics of geospatial data
- understand the structure of ArcMap and common data types used
- display and design a map
- render geospatial data
- link a table of non-spatial data to geospatial features
Costs: McGill students: free of charge, McGill other: $ 50, external: $ 100 (priority given to McGill community)
The workshop will take about 2 hours 15 minutes with a short break in-between. The instructor is Ruilan Shi.
