Planning to head out into the field? Unsure of what kinds of applications or devices you’ll need? Knowing what technology is available and what works the best for you when beginning fieldwork can be intimidating. Stop by this informational workshop to learn about some of the mapping applications available as well as about the devices you can borrow from the GIC.
By the end of this workshop, you will:

know about several different applications available for mapping in the field

know the pros and cons of using different devices in the field

know what devices are available at the GIC

have an understanding of how to use mapping and tracking applications in the field
Prerequisites: None!
The workshop will last about 1.5-2 hours and will take place in-person in Burnside Hall room 511. The instructor will be Meghan Ewing.
