Working with raster data in R

The R coding environment is pretty well suited to process raster data set for quite a long time. Join our workshop to see how to import, process and display geospatial raster data with the terra package.

At the end of this workshop you will be able to

• import geospatial raster data from different sources and file formats
• prepare raster data for analysis
• apply local, focal, zonal, global operations
• create nice-looking maps

Pre-requisites: “Introduction to Data Science with R”, McGill’s R Summer Camp or equivalent.

This workshop will be hosted in person in BH511 and takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. Registration is open until noon on the day of the workshop. The instructor will be Tim Elrick.
