The R coding environment is pretty well suited to process raster data set for quite a long time. Join our workshop to see how to import, process and display geospatial raster data.

At the end of this workshop you will be able to

• import geospatial raster data from different sources and file formats
• prepare raster data for analysis
• apply local, focal, zonal, global operations
• create nice-looking maps

Pre-requisites: “Introduction to Data Science with R”, McGill’s R Summer Camp or equivalent.

This workshop will be held in person in Burnside Hall BH511 and takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. The instructor will be Tim Elrick.
