Ever wanted to have track changes not just in Microsoft Word, but for everything you do? Or do you want to work collaboratively on an project (in a programming language, on a website or a latex document)? Then this is your workshop where we cover the most used, totally free version control system at the moment: git!

If you’re interested in:
– Showcasing your projects
– Hosting your own website
– Learning how to use git (an industry standard) for collaborative coding

You will learn how to install git and how to create and maintain your projects. You will also learn how to fork and merge projects and how to test them.

Prerequisites: none

Costs: McGill students: free of charge, McGill other: $ 50, external: $ 100 (priority given to McGill community)

The workshop will take about 1.5 – 2 hours. The instructor is TBD
