Number of available spots
Day 2 of the GIC Summer Workshop Series will focus on raster data (i.e. continuous data types like rainfall, elevation, temperature, and other common environmental measurables). Today we will be switching up the tools to focus on what ArcGIS has to offer. In this workshop, you will learn to use basic geospatial tools for raster data in QGIS. For raster data, we will discuss raster calculations and how to calculate hillshades, slopes, viewsheds and zonal statistics. We will also discuss the differences between ArcGIS and QGIS in using these geospatial tools.
Costs: McGill students: free of charge, McGill other: $ 50, external: $ 100 (priority given to McGill community)
The workshop will take about 2 hours with a 15 minutes break. The instructor is Jeffery Sauer.
