For GIS data and maps please refer to the library’s GIS guide at http://libraryguides.mcgill.ca/gis_guides . The McGill Library holds a significant collection of maps, atlases, air photos, satellites imagery, and data covering the greater Montreal region, the province of Quebec, Canada, and the rest of the world. The GIS guide provides an easy way to access McGill’s geospatial data collections, as well as open GIS data resources. The data is organised into categories for easy searching. To request licensed data that is not directly available from the library website, please fill in the data request form at https://www.mcgill.ca/library/find/maps/datarequest .
If you cannot find what you are looking for in the catalogue, please contact Michael Groenendyk, the data librarian responsible for GIS data, at firstname.lastname@example.org with the details of your project and the dataset(s) you are looking for.
If you are looking for the paper map collection, these maps are hosted on the McLennan Library’s 2nd floor. To access the paper map collection please contact Deena Yanofsky at Deena.Yanofsky@mcgill.ca
