Introduction to geospatial statistics in R

Are you interested in analyzing spatial data, but want to try other than the standard commercial software? Then, this is your workshop!
We will start by getting spatial data into R and some descriptive stats. Then we will move on to look into spatial analysis of point and area data and touch upon geostatistics for continuous data. If the interest is high enough we could also look into geographically weighted regressions.
Prerequisite: basic knowledge in R
Recommended: knowledge of the sf package
Costs: McGill students: free of charge, McGill other: $ 50, external: $ 100 (priority given to McGill community)
The workshop will take about 2.5 hours with a 10 minutes break in-between. The instructor is Tim Elrick.
