As a McGill student, how can I get the ArcGIS student license to download software from the ESRI website?

If you are a student at McGill, you can ask for an ArcGIS licences for your own personal computer. You need to send us an email at GICsupport@mcgill.ca.

The ArcGIS for Desktop 1-year Student License provides a 1-year term license for ArcInfo Single Use and Extensions and is limited to educational purposes (no commercial use allowed). Each authorization code is valid for one user on one computer; each student should receive a unique authorization code. You will need to activate the authorization code using your Esri Global Account before it can be used.

Please go to the following website and follow the instruction to activate your code.

If you  already have ArcGIS 10.1 installed, you do not need to re-download the software. If you do not have a copy of the software yet,  you need to download the software.
